During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to see the premises of the medieval castle and the Renaissance manor house, combined with expert interpretation by trained guides. The tour also includes two audiovisual presentations of the history of the Castle and Manor House, the story of its reconstruction and a presentation of the present day monument. We are also preparing various events, such as Children’s or Night Tours, Castle Tours, Castle Cinemas, theatres, or others, so we recommend you to follow our social networks, where you will always find fresh information about any upcoming events.
In the summer season, tours start from the Podhradie, where there is also a buffet with snacks and ice cream. A large free car park is available nearby, from where you can walk up to the local Skalka lookout. Outside the summer season, tours start at the hotel reception.

For school trips we offer a modified route with content more interesting for the child visitor (suitable for pupils under 12 years of age). Available by booking by email at least one day in advance. The price of admission is according to the current price list, the pedagogical supervision will visit the castle free of charge.
Educational programmes:
Seven Christmas customs of John of Holešov
Educational programme prepared for primary school pupils about seven medieval Christmas customs. During the one-hour visit to the castle, we will visit the medieval castle, where we will talk about life in castles in the Middle Ages and then move to the manor house, where the guide will present a unique medieval file and the mentioned medieval Christmas customs with the help of visual aids. The programme is available from 1 December until the start of the Christmas holidays by booking at least one day in advance by emailing roman@hradliptovskyhradok.sk. There is a charge of €3 per pupil – over 20 people we offer a 10% discount on the total price of admission. Teaching supervision will visit the program free of charge.
During weddings, wedding ceremonies and events, entry to the Castle and Manor is restricted.
In the case of larger groups (20 or more people), it is possible to reserve individual tour dates.
